INAUGURAL  AND FOLLOWING YEAR EVENTS

National Press Conference-- (Determined by Presenting Sponsor)

Qualifying Events -- Targeting 16,000+ high school campuses nationwide, the student-created 18-hole course can be located inside, outside or both: e.g., parking lot, gymnasium, athletic field, hallways, cafeteria, etc., subject to student imagination and school administrative approval.   Inaugural year competition involves 72 high schools nationwide with an estimated 250,000 student participants.  In following year's, competition includes is open to 16,000+ high schools with an estimated 17+ million student participants. After qualifying events are completed, annual lottery determines which 72 high schools receive invitations for State and National competition.

State Championships -- This determine who competes at the PUTTER'S CUP tm National Championship). 72 events will be held (at least one in every state plus Washington D.C.).  During the inaugural year, the top 4 finishers (144 male/144 female) from each school advance to a State Championship event.  Top 2 finishers from each school (72 male/72 female) advance to the National Championship.  In future years, a DBD number of schools participate and 144 students (the first place male and female from each of the 72 locations) advance to the National Championship.

National Championship -- This event is scheduled to take place in Southern California.  Locations currently being considered is Riveria Country Club located in Pacific Palisades (Los Angeles).
